What to Expect When You’re Expecting (To go to Ball)
Senior Ball is Saturday, January 28th 2017 in the Branford House at Avery Point. Formal dress is suggested and mandatory. Men should wear a suit, which is simple enough. I wouldn’t recommend anything over the top because I tried to convince my date to let me wear a suit covered in hearts but she said no. Women’s attire is short dresses. I have absolutely no idea what that means so I hope you do. The theme of this year’s ball is “Festival of Lights.” According to all I asked, this means absolutely nothing so don’t feel obligated to plan around it. The food is buffet style and catered by Coffee’s Country Market. Class of 2017 president, Callie Kotzan, had this to say when asked about what she thinks people will enjoy most about ball:
“That I’m going to be there.”
I then asked for anything else to get people excited, for people who don’t know her.
“Mr. Eckhart will be there.”
In general, students seem to be excited. If you’ve gone on any social media sites in the past two weeks, you’ve likely seen all the ball proposals of varying creativity. But, what’s most important is that, if you’re going, you go to have fun and enjoy this. As Callie said in an answer that I actually feel good about using, “this type of event only happens twice a year.”
