Get To Know Ms. Hudak!

Q: How long have you been teaching for?

A: This is my 6th year of teaching. I taught at Marine Science Magnet High School in Groton and at Ledyard. 

Q: What college did you go to?

A: UCONN.

Q: What classes do you teach?

A: I teach Geometry, Applied Algebra 2, and Algebra 1 Lab.

Q: What is your favorite thing about teaching and teaching math in specifically?

A: I think it’s just that math is my favorite subject, so I like being able to spread how much I love math to other people. And, I think it’s a subject that’s pretty hated or makes people anxious, but I like helping people be more comfortable with it. 

Q: What do you like about the LOL community and LOLHS so far?

A: Everyone is really welcoming here, it’s really easy to ask for help and get what you need. Everyone is very happy and happy to be here. 

Q: If you had to teach another subject what would it be?

A: Originally I wanted to be a science teacher, because my mom was a science teacher… but I also really like English because I like reading. 

Q: Do you have any siblings?

A: Yes, I have a brother. 

 Q: Do you have any pets?

A: Yes, I have three dogs. I have a Dachshund, a Black Lab, and a Blue Heeler – Corgi mix. They are all rescues. 

Q: What kind of music do you listen to?

A: I listen to a lot of my parents’ music, like Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones. And for contemporary music, Noah Kahan. 

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Mac N’ Cheese.
