Warframe-game review

Byrnes Berglund, The Beast

The free game Warframe, rated M, is a violent, third-person shooter. During the tutorial there is a story line but it is almost impossible to follow since there is no backstory. After the tutorial there is a complete lack of story line because it is just random missions. But the graphics for the free-to-play game are quite flashy in comparison to those of other games. Although the game is quite “pay-to-win,” meaning that if you want any basic things in the game that are somewhat satisfying or excellent you need to pay real money for them, or you can play the game for a lot longer than other games are considered pay-to-win. The fact that the game has no storyline upsets me since the gameplay is awesome, but for me to get really invested into a game I need some kind of great objective; the only objective here is to get better gear. However, the gameplay is epic since it includes parkour, sword combat, gun combat, and a somewhat good co-op aspect. The missions have both playstyles, including stealth missions and complete combat missions. The game itself as a whole is somewhat good, but there is no storyline to it and most of the time you are just trying to find someone random over the internet to play a mission with since it is almost impossible to do the missions on your own. In conclusion, i would give this game a 6/10 for great game mechanics and exciting gameplay, but with no storyline whatsoever after the tutorial, the requirement of another person playing with you, and the necessity of paying real money to get the over-powered items of the game.
