Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser by National Honor Society

The National Honor Society Chapter of LOLHS is raising money for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. The club broke out into three groups and each one decided on their own creative way to gather the funds. For example, one group handed out pins and accepted donations for those in need at Open House two weeks ago. In addition, they have a jar for donations at Coffee’s, a popular breakfast destination for townies. The secondĀ group is hosting a tie-dye event on October 3rd and 4th after school on the field, where people can pay $5 for a shirt and dye, and all the profits go to Texas. Lastly, the final group is passing around buckets at the lunches to collect money for Harvey victims. The group is running this event from September 28th-October 5th, so I would be sure to bring money to help those in need! šŸ˜‰ Due to the dedication LOLHS students have for community events, I believe the grand total of profits will be considerably great, and hopefully we can help make the lives of Harvey victims less burdensome.
