Red Ribbon Week
This week was Red ribbon week for Lyme Old Lyme High School. The theme for this year was “Celebrate Life”. All week during lunch, students could pledge to be drug and substance-free in exchange for snacks, bracelets, and of course a better lifestyle.
During the week students from a variety of sports and clubs visited younger Middle Schoolers and educated them on the dangers of drug usage. Some students came into gym classes and gave presentations about the correlation between drug use and mental health. Red ribbon week promotes staying drug-free as a means to a happier, healthier, and longer life.
