A Love Letter to You 3- Trippie Redd
A Love Letter to You 3 was released on November 9th, 2018. It consists of 16 songs and includes features from Juice WRLD, Tory Lanez, and more. The first song on the album, Topanga, was released on October 22nd, 2018, as a prelude to the full album. It begins with a calm beat that creates an easygoing vibe. In this song, Trippie Redd illustrate his ability to add variation to his delivery. He effortlessly shifts from singing to rapping throughout the track. I loved this song because it is quite different from music he has put out in the past. Another song that I really enjoyed was “Can’t Love”. The production of this song is amazing, and subtle details like the guitar in the background make it even better. Trippie Redd’s vocalization fits perfectly with the beat, and the hook is very catchy. Love Scars 3 is the next song that I felt was noteworthy. The detail that improves this song for me is the humming/whistling in the background. It adds an extra element that makes the song more intriguing to listen to. 1400/999 Freestyle is a song that differs from the relaxed theme of the album. Juice WRLD and Trippie Redd accompany a high-tempo beat to create some great music. Their verses interchange smoothly and were perfect for this track. The last song that I really enjoyed was Diamond Minds, which includes features from Tory Lanez and Elliot Trent. I think this song could make Elliot Trent blow up in the music industry because his vocalizations are breathtaking. This song is my favorite on the album because of the combination of all three artists. They each contribute something different to the song but still blend together well. As a whole, I thought this album was great because it illustrates the different kinds of music Trippie Redd can produce. I hope more people give his album a listen because it is wonderful.
