The Wildcats are on a roll this season. The girls team is coming out of the winter season with a relay team that went to nationals. This 4 x 800 team consists of Lyla Powers, Aggie Hunt, Maddy Morgado, and Chase Gilbert, and their momentum has propelled them into the spring season, allowing them to break the 4 x 800 school record in the outdoor season. Sprinters like Zoe Eastman-Grossel and newcomer Serena Mazzi have both beaten the school’s 100 meter record within their first years on the team! Zoe also broke our 200 meter school record and the 100 meter hurdles record!

The throwers are making waves too. Maggie Thuma, a freshman, beat our discus school record. Jumper’s like Tabitha Colwell are inching their way towards states. This season has proven to be one for the history books! It will be super exciting to see how newcomers and freshmen will continue to grow and shape this team!

The boys team is doing great too! Jacob Volkerts smashed the school record for the 100 meter dash by half a second! He also beat the 200 meter record by almost a full second. Dylan Sheehan has continued breaking records with a new shot put record that hasn’t been broken in nearly 50 years! Congratulations to both teams!

Shorelines went well for both teams with Zoe Eastman-Grossel, Lyla Powers, Kate Walsh, Gillian Milewski, Maddy Morgado, Chase Gilbert, and Tabitha Colwell all making first team! They have states next Tuesday.

Good luck to both teams!
