For this issue of the teacher battle the two new science teachers Mr. Alexandru (Chemistry) and Ms. Grenier (Biology) were put head to head in a series of questions. The questions were as follows:

- What’s your favorite part about teaching ________ over other subjects?
- What made you want to be a teacher?
- If you drop soap on the floor is the soap dirty or floor clean?
- What’s your favorite pastime?
- What are the names of the chemical bases of DNA?
- Can you speak another language?
- Any fun fact about yourself?
Here’s how they answered. Up first was Ms. Grenier’s answers!

- I prefer biology because microorganisms are my favorite thing to learn about.
- I think it’s important that people understand the way the world/their body works so they can make informed decisions for themselves, so I wanted to be able to teach kids about how life works.
- The soap is dirty – floors are gross!
- Hiking
- Adenine, guanine, cytosine, thymine
- Sadly no, just a few phrases in Irish
- I have a parrot named Leonard, and he talks!
A good set of answers- I wish I had a talking parrot especially named Leonard!
